Borealis operates in over 120 countries and has three production sites in Belgium: Beringen, Kallo and Zwijndrecht, with approximately 800 employees. In Beringen, Borealis operates two polypropylene (PP) plants with a total capacity of 450.000 tonnes, as well as a compounding plant. In Kallo, Borealis produces up to 300.000 tonnes of polypropylene. It also operates a 480.000 tonnes per year dehydrogenation unit to convert propane to propylene. In Zwijndrecht, Borealis produces up to 65.000 tonnes of compounds for low-density polyethylene (LDPE) per year.

Borealis supplies services and products to customers around the globe through two important joint ventures: Borouge (with the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, or ADNOC, based in UAE), and Baystar™ (with TotalEnergies, based in the US).
